DonatedCarReceipt.com is an independent document preparation service operated under Alpha Leonis Production Studio LLC. We generate IRS vehicle donation receipt PDFs for individuals who have donated a motor vehicle to a charitable organization. Our website is located at www.donatedcarreceipt.com.

What Information We Collect

When you use our service, you provide us with the following information to generate your receipt:

Your full name and mailing address
Your email address
Your vehicle's VIN, year, make, model, and trim
The charity name and address
The date of your vehicle donation

We also collect payment information through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

We may automatically collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and referring page when you visit our website. We use this only for security and diagnostic purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

Generate your IRS vehicle donation receipt PDF
Email the receipt PDF to the address you provide
Process your payment through Stripe
Respond to any support requests you send us

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you paid for. We do not sell, rent, share, or trade your personal information to any third party.

How We Store Your Information

The information you enter is temporarily stored in our payment processor's (Stripe's) secure systems as metadata attached to your payment record. Generated PDF receipts are stored in our server's memory for up to 2 hours after generation to allow you to download them, after which they are automatically deleted.

We do not maintain a permanent database of your personal information or receipt data beyond what Stripe retains for payment and legal compliance purposes.

Third-Party Services We Use

Stripe — payment processing. Your card data is handled exclusively by Stripe. See stripe.com/privacy.
NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) — we look up vehicle details using your VIN from the free federal NHTSA database. No personal data is shared with NHTSA in this lookup.
Namecheap Private Email — used to deliver your receipt PDF by email.
Render.com — our backend server hosting provider. Your data passes through their infrastructure.

Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Stripe may set cookies necessary for payment processing to function. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioral tracking technology.

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of any personal information we may hold associated with your transaction. To make such a request, email us at support@donatedcarreceipt.com with your name and the date of your transaction. We will respond within 7 business days.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you are an EU or UK resident, you have rights under GDPR. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our service, please contact us immediately at support@donatedcarreceipt.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
